The Eotwash group aims to use a torsion pendulum to probe the inverse square law at distances down to 20 microns. This talk will cover the history of this kind of test, and document the prototyping of this experiment to determine its viability before we move on to creating a proper apparatus. We have some initial experimental results to share on the verification of this geometries validity.
