Abstract:
The Selena sub-module shows promise for use in PIONEER’s beam with its good spatial and energy resolution and 20 ns TOA resolution aiding in event classification. Other interesting features include low-noise, fast pixel readout and resilience to radiation damage. Challenges include detecting particle decay through timing and optimizing readout triggering/sequence. This talk explores this possibility by presenting detector performance and simulation results.
