In the search for neutrino-less double beta decay, LEGEND-1000 will be using an updated lock system for string removal and deployment that allows for modifications and adjustments while maintaining Underground Argon purity levels suited for the background requirements of the experiment. The prototyping of this lock system is underway in the high bay and Cave 1 at CENPA. In this talk, I will discuss the major components and overall design of the lock. I will also discuss the results of the current prototype at CENPA, in addition to the upcoming prototyping plans.
