Recent upgrade of Axion Dark Matter eXperiment

Abstract:

Quantum chromodynamics (QCD) axion is one of the most well-motivated dark matter candidates for solving the strong CP problem at the same time. Axion Dark Matter eXperiment (ADMX) searches for QCD axion dark matter in the well-motivated mass range with the axion haloscope conceptualized by Pierre Sikivie forty years ago. With the development of dilution refrigerator and quantum amplifiers, ADMX has reached the sensitivity of both benchmark models: Kim–Shifman–Vainshtein–Zakharov (KSVZ) and Dine–Fischler–Srednicki– Zhitnitsky (DFSZ). I will report the recent result of ADMX and upgrades on-site.
