LIGO employs a multi stage seismic isolation system to enable gravitational wave detection on an Earth that is constantly moving. I will give a brief introduction to the isolation system and discuss the art form of constructing filters to optimally blend sensors within the seismic isolation. I will finish by discussing the control complexities that accompany the installation of our precision inertial rotation sensors.
